When interior design firm Soesthetic Group, were designing an apartment in Kiev, Ukraine, they were inspired by various elements of Thai decor, specifically the use of wood, and placing the bed on the floor.
In this case, the designers have slightly raised the bed from the floor by using a large wall-to-wall platform, with the wood also being used on the walls and ceiling. The platform also has embedded lighting that creates a dramatic effect by shining up against the walls.
