A Contemplation On Observation And Desire

Analogue fashion photographer Theresa Marx explores perceptions of eroticism in a series of portraits that capture the feeling of a lover’s gaze. Based between London and Paris, Marx – whose client list includes – shot the editorial, entitled ‘Her’, forCoeval Magazine. Focusing on the female gaze, Marx’s camera lingers on the closeness and space between lovers. “It is about the movement, gestures and expression you find appealing after observing the one in front of you,“ she explains. “It is about being sexy without knowing, it is about desire by pure observation. It is about her being herself in the most pure and honest way.”
